Fukai has solid technology and is evaluated highly as a comprehensive manufacturer of automotive sheet metal parts including activities from research, development, and analysis of components and their materials to design and manufacturing of die, and press, welding and assembly work.
With a huge plant having a total site area of 171,600 m² (1,845,161 sq. ft.) and total floor area of 27,720 m² (298,064 sq. ft.), Fukai adds value on a daily basis. The plants make extensive use of new technology such as state of the art three dimensional CAD pursuing speed and realism in the business office and a plasma laser welding machine researched and developed in-house as well as an extra large welding robot line and unmanned press line that redefined the idea of a conventional line construction. In October, 2005, Komaba Plant was newly installed in Ashikaga City and a 2,700 ton press plant was established at the Otsuki plant site in December targeting further expansion of operations.
Component manufacturing primarily for automobiles as well as design and production of dies and jigs are performed and Fukai’s components are used for cars from Fuji Heavy Industries starting with the Legacy as well as the Cima, Fuga, Fairlady Z, and Skyline of Nissan Motor.
Furthermore, Fukai obtained ISO 9001 certification in April, 1998, QS 9000 certification in January, 2003, ISO/TS 16949 certification in September, 2004, and ISO 14001 certification in February, 2005 and are pursuing globalization through world class level quality as well as original technologies.
